As soon as you notice it is not cutting well, and possibly making fine dust instead of large chips.

This is the most important questions. Two stroke engines most modern engines will run on fifty to one mix, but this must be a high grade synthetic two stroke oil. If you are in any doubt contact us for more detail.
How long is the warranty period?
This varies with manufacturers and is normally one year from date of purchase, but with STIHL and Viking it is a two year warranty for all their domestic equipment.
My collector isn't working well, why is this?
Some mowers are better than others at collecting, if yours used to work well but not now, the answer may be down to blade wear or in many cases it’s because the material in the bag has become clogged with dirt. This causes the draft to stop carrying the cut grass into the bag. Try pressure washing it and see does it improve.
How do I use my equipment safely?
Every machine comes with an owner’s manual (it’s the law). Keep it safe and read it carefully, it gives valuable information on safety. When it comes to chainsaws, it’s the same but remember to wear a safety helmet and visor, chainsaw gloves and safety pants. Never cut alone, never cut anything above shoulder height, where possible only cut branches etc. on a proper saw horse. Don’t allow the chain to touch the ground, not even for a second.
How do I inspect the blades or clean the underside of the machine?
Never tip the mower over on its side for this. Lay a walk behind mower back on its handles with it’s spark plug pointing upwards. Have someone hold the handles down while you check out the underside. With ride ons it’s more difficult, lift the cutting deck to its highest and run the mower up on two planks to lift it’s front, then lie on the ground and check the blades.
